Abortions
I believe there is actually one important thing that should be a law in this world, and that would be not abortions. I absolutely think it's the nastiest thing someone could do, people go the jail for killing so why should it be any different for a baby
What makes me mad about it is cause that baby was given a life before even entering the world and how someone could just take right from under there feet, with it being none of their fault. I understand that some crazy people in this world shouldn’t have a baby in their hands, but that gives no one the right to kill someone. Some people can't even have babies and they would without a doubt want a baby. There is always away around it besides killing a baby. A baby is only made by one action, SEX! And everyone can prevent that, where a rubber or get birth control.
Evolution
Where did we really come from, who put us on this planet? Who decided this was the place for us, who created the human image? There are endless questions that I will never figure out. Like, there was a beginning of life at sometime or other, way before anything. Im not too much for the story of Adam and Eve or even God, how could there only have been two people put on earth, where did they come from and how did they magically find each other to be able to reproduce? It makes no sense, even if it was true, who was around to write about it, no one had the
education, they didn’t know how to write. Plus “they” wouldn’t even know what to leave behind to explain the start of life. That’s why Im not going to say someone, but something put us on earth and like
programmed us to be humans. Sounds crazy I know and maybe Im just insane, but I feel like there is something bigger then us. Something way bigger then God, just think about it, how did we come up with all the nationalities, “if we started with two people white people in the Garden of Eden.” We evolved, yes. Through decades
every culture has adapted to their enviroments. In the bible it says that on the sixth day “God,” created all the animals that walk on earth. He created man separately in his own image with the intent that man would dominion over every other living thing on earth. While Bible-believing Christians begin with the assumption that God’s word is true and that man’s ancestry goes back only to a fully human Adam and Eve, evolutionists begin with the assumption that man has, in fact, evolved from ape’s. Human sapiens share clear anatomical, genetic, and historic relationships to other primates. Of all primates, humans bear particularly close affinity to other members of a group known as hominoids, or apes, which includes orangutans, gibbons, gorillas and chimpanzees. Humans and their immediate ancestors, known as hominids, are notable among hominoids for their bipedal locomotion, slow rate of maturation, large brain size, the development of a relatively sophisticated capacity for language, tool use and social activity. Mind boggling I know, I couldn’t believe it. Makes you think though, well me at least.
Some people have told me that the human image did come from ape’s, I wasn’t too sure about that, but I can see why. Ape’s look the most similar to humans, they have hands and they are pretty smart. They are the closest mammal to us, except we are not so hairy, well maybe some of us. So I did some research and found out that, researcher’s have found a way that the genetic molecule called RNA could have formed from chemicals present on the early earth. Also other studies have supported the hypothesis that primitive cell’s containing molecules similar to RNA could assemble spontaneously, reproduce and evolve, giving the rise to all life. Scientist’s are now aiming at creating fully self-replicating artificial organisms in the laboratory-essentially giving life a second start to understand how it could have started the first time. I can’t wait till they do figure it out completely because Im very interested in it and I would love to know the truth about how the world started.
Didgeridoo
The passage I chose for myself to explore in was the instrument called the didgeridoo. The didge inspired me because its very interesting thing. And I wanted to know more about it. This gave me the perfect chance to be engaged in the subject. I always wanted to learn how to play it, but this gave me the push I needed because I started trying more. After attempting it for a while, I figured it out; it just came to me finally. It made me so happy cause it seriously toke me months to just make a sound. So I kept practing and I was making big progress for myself on the didge, I was getting better at holding the sound longer. Till one day I was on my way to class and couldn’t find my didgeridoo. Well I shouldn’t say mine cause it was Dylan’s sister. All that was in the car was the mouthpiece, “someone” without a live toke the time out of their day to cut up Kendra’s didge. Just fantastic, so I was out of a didgeridoo to practice on. It pretty much stopped me for getting any better. Anyway, I have done research on it and found some intriguing facts.
The didgeridoo is a wind instrument; it was created and played by the Aborigines of Northern Australia. They played it played it during sunsets, funerals, camp entertainment and in children songs. The history of primitive instruments is based on the tribal need for the Medicine Man and or Shaman. The eerie sounds of the instrument were used in ceremonies and the rites of passage. In a few aboriginal groups, during certain ceremonies, only the men are allowed to play the didge. Traditionally, didgeridoo’s were made from eucalyptus tree trunks or from bamboo in the far north of Australia. In the west we have only been playing the didgeridoo for a maximum of 30 years and only in the last ten years or so we have been trying to play traditional Aboriginal style. A growing number of westerners are now discovering the beautiful rich harmonics and subtleties that come from playing West Arnhem Land or North East Land style. Just a century ago the didgeridoo had a restricted distribution in Australia. Earlier researchers such as Elkin (1938) reported that the didgeridoo was only known in eastern Kimberley and the northern third of the Northern Territory. With the introduction of missions, roads and infrastructure, the art of making the didge seemed to then spread a across most parts of Australia. Sometimes described as a natural wooden trumpet or “drone pipe,” musicologists classify it as an aero phone. The didgeridoo is usually cylindrical or conical in shape and can measure anywhere between 1 m (3.3 ft) to 3 m (9.8 ft) in length with most instrument measuring around 1.2 m (3.9ft). Generally, the longer the instrument, the lower the pitch or key of the instrument. Keys from D from F# are the preferred pitch of traditional Aboriginal players.
Regional Names for the Didgeridoo
- Young of Arnhem: Yardage
- Gupapuygu of Arnhem Land: Yreka
- Dining of Arnhem Land: Fitrakis
- Pinup of Central Australia: Pampa
- Groote Eylandt: Ngarrriralkpwina
The types of wood that can be used to make a didgeridoo besides bamboo and eucalyptus is, Darwin Stringybark (Eucalyptus tetragonal), Darwin woolly butt (Eucalyptus minute), swamp Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon) and scarlet gum (Eucalyptus Phoenicia). In the Northern Territory suggests that these are the species the first eucalyptus didgeridoos were made of. In other parts of the country different species were added to the list. Like, Ironbark (grey:Eucalyptus paniculate), bloodwood(red:Eucalyptus gummifera), yellow box or honey box. In Central Australia they used mallee (Eucalyptus viridis). And a couple of mallee species from Western Australia. The main species being, snap and rattle ( Eucalyptus Celastroides ), gimlet (Eucalyptus Salubris), Goldfields blackbutt (Eucalyptus Lesoueffi), sand mallee (Eucalyptus eremophila)…….. and so on.
Which is the best wood for didgeridoo’s? The wood itself doesn’t make the didgeridoo; every species can produce very good or very bad didgeridoo’s and every kind in-between. The hardest, thickest the wood is, the sound is more metallic, the resonance is much sharper, the sound is more clearer. Bloodwood and ironbark didgeridoo’s are valued very much by some experts. In Cairns area bloodwood didge’s are the most expensive. Followed by the ironbark, but you can find very good stringybark didgeridoo’s as well, thanks to the larger number of these to choose from. These are all eucalyptus didgeridoos and you have to be an expert to them apart.
So as you can see there is many facts about the didgeridoo and it is a famous instrument all around the world. Its about 40,000 years old and will probably never be forgotten. This passage has been really great and now Imp more educated on the didge. Im getting much better and plan to keep my process up in the future. I hope you enjoyed
